You know who I love listening too? Of course, most of you were thinking Pentatonix. You would be right too. The other weekend we were at Valentine’s Dinner and played The NewlyWed game. Well, Jon and I did HORRIBLE! We came in last, haha. You would think after almost 14 years together, and 11 of them married we would know. We do know each other, but of course, we are still learning since I guess you never stop. Anyways, the question was “What is your song or favorite song” something to that effect, and I thought way too hard about it. I missed it, missed it bad. Jon said the answer was “Pentatonix” and I said pass because I couldn’t think of our song or my favorite song. Trick question if you ask me. Because that is a group, and he even gave me that hint too.
I just couldn't concentrate, and that happens an awful lot. I get distracted too easily. That usually happens though when I am cluttered, or my life is. Right now I am supposed to be getting prices for a customer and designing some signs. Except, I am typing and listening to Pentatonix. If you saw what my office looked like right now, you would understand why I can’t concentrate.
It’s not anyone’s fault but my own. I have been cleaning closets out in here and going through stuff. The real reason, we were looking for the “original Nintendo.” Come to find out; it wasn’t even in here, it was in another closet. So here I have all this stuff out everywhere. So I thought, well, I might as well clean it up and go through the closet too now. So that's what I am doing today. That way I can focus on designing, pricing, and blogging.
A few months ago, we put new carpet in 2 bedrooms, redid Dawson’s room and then moved my “office” from our bedroom to its own actual office space. So this has been nice, having my room to work. Dawson also has his own “ workspace” too, for homework and all.
However, as you can tell we are still in the processing of finishing the office up. Hence the trim in the room. Jon has been planing that himself and I stained them. We did that to Dawson’s room; we just have to finish the office. Hopefully, soon, I can show you updated pictures of how that turned out. I also need a could extra things the wall as well.
Sometimes, I feel like there is never enough time to finish it all! Insert the scene from "Saved By the Bell," where Jessie is "sick," "Time? TIME??! There's never any time! I don't have time to study! I'll never get into Stanford! I'll let everyone down! I'm so confused."
In the meantime, I have my diffuser going, coffee in hand, Pentatonix playing and I still am not focused. I have a feeling it may be the music. I should probably just get up and clean first. Then sit back down. Let’s hope I have an update soon!
How do you keep things clutter free? Specifically closets and workspaces? How do you pass that on to your kids? I want to know; I NEED help!!!
